JAIMY N. LEWIS

ASSOCIATE

Jaimy completed her Juris Doctorate at George Mason University School of Law in 2007. She was an active member of the American Bar Association Law Student Division, having been elected to represent the interests of the law students of the D.C. metropolitan area as a member of the National Board of Governors for the organization in 2006. She was also an active member of the Women’s Law Association and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. While in law school, Jaimy worked to obtain practical experience as a law clerk, working on personal injury, domestic relations, and real estate matters.

Jaimy went on to obtain her Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2008. As a part of her taxation curriculum, she studied individual, corporate, and estate and gift tax. Her understanding of federal taxation is a valuable supplement to her legal practice at Compton & Duling, as it intersects with nearly every area of the law.
 
Jaimy also has experience in government contracting. Prior to joining Compton & Duling, she drafted and negotiated research and development contracts as a civilian employee of the United States Air Force.

Jaimy is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia and the State of Colorado.
