HEATHER R. STEELEASSOCIATEHeather is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Her experience includes litigation in the Virginia General District Courts and Circuit Courts, as well as, representing clients, individuals and businesses, in Maryland District Courts and in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She has been the attorney for clients in the Landlord-Tenant Division and in the Small Claims and Conciliation Branch. Heather has also been involved in contract drafting and review, specifically with regard to representation of commercial and residential landlords. Heather has been an attorney for a number of homeowners associations and condominium associations. She has served as a trial lawyer and advisor for property management companies, landlords (commercial and residential), and businesses. She has also counseled individuals and businesses on corporate matters and real estate disputes. Before deciding to pursue a career in the law, Heather obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a major in Broadcast Journalism and then worked for several television news stations. At GMU Law, she held the position of Editor-In-Chief of the student newspaper, The Docket, and she was also a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal and a Student Mentor.
