Stafford County Board of Supervisors Approves South Campus Development Plan

Compton & Duling is pleased to announce the Stafford County Board of Supervisors’ approval of South Campus, a medical office campus with supportive retail and office uses within walking distance of the new Stafford Hospital near the proposed Courthouse Town Center. As a result of the work of Compton & Duling’s Planner, Sherman Patrick, Jr., the South Campus project successfully achieved rezoning approval of 54 acres from an agricultural land use to a commercial medical office campus consisting of 542,000 square feet of building area.

After preparing and submitted the design application to the Board, we recommended and coordinated with expert consultants, including transportation, engineering, archaeological, and environmental consultants. Compton & Duling planned and executed a comprehensive presentation before community, the Planning Commission, and the Board of County Supervisors, which included full color exhibits, professionally designed to provide a clear visual of our client’s proposed design goal and phased development plan.

Throughout the application process, from inception to completion, Compton & Duling managed the moving parts for our client and created a cohesive design package for presentation to the Board. Compton & Duling’s efforts succeeded in obtaining approval from the Board of Supervisors for our client’s South Campus design plan.
