Compton & Duling Attorney Appointed to Planning Commission

Compton & Duling, L.C., one of Prince William County’s oldest law firms, announced today that attorney Dennis Cate has been appointed to the City of Fairfax Planning Commission. 

“Dennis’s appointment to the Planning Commission is another example of the breadth of experience Compton & Duling offers our clients, said Geary Rogers, Managing Partner of Compton & Duling. “Our firm has a rich history in land use and planning matters in the region.  Dennis will be a tremendous asset to the citizens of the City of Fairfax.”

When asked about his appointment, Mr. Cate expressed that, “I am looking forward to working with the City of Fairfax Planning Commission and the City Council to help the citizens and the City of Fairfax keep moving forward during these challenging economic times.”

Mr. Cate joined Compton & Duling in July 1999 and has specialized in Land Use, Zoning and Development for the past twenty years.   

He and his family have been residents of the City of Fairfax for 11 years. Mr. Cate has been an active member of the community, having commented on the City’s land use with regard to local parks, historic sites and development proposals. He is an active member of St. Leo’s Parish and is involved with his children’s schools and activities, including scouting and sports, such as coaching CYO track.
