Congratulations to Meg Turlington as the New President of the PW Chapter of the VWAA

COMPTON & DULING, LC is pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2020, Margaret “Meg” Turlington will become President of the Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association (VWAA). The VWAA is a state-wide organization which seeks to assist women attorneys in developing their professional practice and to affect changes in law and public policy for women across the Commonwealth. Meg has served as Vice-President/President/Elect for the Prince William Chapter for the past year.

“I’m so excited to build on the legacy of the women who came before me, including [Compton and Duling Partner] Maryse Allen, former VWAA President. In a time of social distancing and countless disruptions to life as we knew it, I look forward to working with the incoming board to create new  programming to be more inclusive and better tailored to our situation, while re-imagining our signature events, including the law clerk reception.”

As president, Meg will also serve as the organization’s representative to the Conference of Local and Specialty Bar Associations (CLSBA) and serve on the state board for VWAA. Meg attended the CLSBA Bar Leaders Institute this past Spring.

Meg has been with Compton and Duling for nearly three years, practicing primarily in the area of Family Law. She also serves on the Arlington Commission on the Status of Women.
